DOGS Weekend 2023 - GOLD Coast

The DOGS annual weekend is quickly coming round again and because last year's format was an agree success this year is going to follow the same format.

The two teams have now been selected and looking at the selections it is going to prove an incredibly challenging competition with this new format.

The two captains will be formatting their tactical tricks with some light sledging being planned, but we can see this getting more intense as the weekend gets closer.

The schedule

• Friday 17th November - Golf booked for 22 players starting  on Friday – The Glades, 

After golf make your way to the appartments.

• Saturday 18th November - Pick up TBC and transfer to Coolangatta Tweed – teeing off from TBC.

 On Sunday 20th November Check out. Make our own way to Royal Pines Golf Course

• Sunday 20thNovember - Golf booked for at the Royal Pines – teeing off from 9:22am.

Premier Golf will be doing the transfers for us on the Saturday morning.

If you have any queries then please contact any of the committee members (John or Greg). 

 Most of you will be aware that the AGM is held during the annual golf weekend, mainly to ensure we get the quorum of members in the same room to be able to make any changes to the constitution, discuss wider golf issues and set the detail for the coming year.

Every member is invited to attend the AGM, you can also register any issues, queries, questions, agenda points, volunteer for committee positions by email/sms if you cannot attend, this is how I would expect apologies for non attendance to be received.

Welcome (Sec)

Sec Report will cover:

Constitution and any amendments to be discussed (constitution is attached for you to raise any agenda items)

Voting in the committee - the Sec position could be broken down into many functions – manual handicapping, golflink handicapping, monthly event management, weekend away

Golf Australia membership

Communication (Website, events, notices, pictures, how to use a phone, how to email, how to log onto the DOGS website, how to wipe your arse, etc)

2023 season events

Vote on location for 2023 Weekend. 

Treasurer Report

Captains Report 

2023 Captain to  nominate Vice Captain for 2023, to be Captain in 2024

Any other business for the good and benefit of DOGS only!!

Meeting Closed

EOI are sought for the Secretary (different functions) and Treasurer positions even if you are already in those positions as they still need to be raised for voting. These nominations are to lodged with the Secretary no later than 8pm on Thu 17 Nov 22, by email or SMS only, so I have proof!! If no volunteers, then I will back members into a corner at the meeting.

Any agenda items are also to be submitted to the Secretary no later than 8pm on Thu 17 Nov 22, by email or SMS only.

If you read the details above now and address them the AGM will a very short meeting, so come prepared and give me the information I have requested.
