Friday 15th November

Hope Island – teeing off from 11:30am.

After golf, make your way to Sierra Grand Broadbeach

Saturday 16th November

Bus will collect us at 10:00am and transfer to us Robian Woods – teeing off from 11:00am. 

AGM will be held after golf, including the Captain’s Speech. 

Bus will return us to the Sierra Grand.

Sunday 17th November

Check out of Sierra Grand.

Weekend Food

Boomer did a great job of finding the Italian Restaurant last year, so Greg asked him for this year’s recommendations so we can make a booking.

If you have any queries then please contact any of the committee members. 

Most of you will be aware that the AGM is held during the annual golf weekend, mainly to ensure we get the quorum of members in the same room to be able to make any changes to the constitution, discuss wider golf issues and set the detail for the coming year.

Every member is invited to attend the AGM, you can also register any issues, queries, questions, agenda points, volunteer for committee positions by email/sms if you cannot attend, this is how I would expect apologies for non attendance to be received.

The agenda for this year is below:

Welcome (Sec)

Sec Report will cover:

Constitution and any amendments to be discussed (constitution is attached for you to raise any agenda items)

Voting in the committee - the Sec position could be broken down into many functions – manual handicapping, golflink handicapping, monthly event management, weekend away

Golf Australia membership

Communication (Website, events, notices, pictures, how to use a phone, how to email, how to log onto the DOGS website, how to wipe your arse, etc)

2025 season events

Vote on location for 2025 Weekend. 

Treasurer Report

Captains Report 

2025 Captain to  nominate Vice Captain for 2025, to be Captain in 2026

Any other business for the good and benefit of DOGS only!!

Meeting Closed

EOI are sought for the Secretary (different functions) and Treasurer positions even if you are already in those positions as they still need to be raised for voting. These nominations are to lodged with the Secretary no later than 8pm on Thu 14th Nov 24, by email or SMS only, so I have proof!! 

Any agenda items are also to be submitted to the Secretary no later than 8pm on Thu 14th Nov 24, by email or SMS only.

If you read the details above now and address them the AGM will a very short meeting, so come prepared and give me the information I have requested.
